The Bajaj Dominar 400 was a flagship machine that excelled in almost every aspect and now down the line, Dominar 400 was revamped and launched in 2018. Now, as the market is blowing up with 250cc bikes and how worth they are Bajaj Decided to launch the all-new Bajaj Dominar 250. Let’s see more in this Bajaj Dominar 250 Full In-depth Review.

Dominar 400 was a flagship as well as a game-changer in the upper segment, Bajaj has now stepped into the 250cc segment.

Design- Design is the same as Dominar 400, there are very minor changes which are not noticeable. The dual exhaust is still there for the fans out there. The biggest change is it is now available in two more colors – Canyon Red and Vine black. The alloys come in full matte black unlike dual-tone finish on Dominar 400. The bike has all LED’s, Overall the headlight has a great throw at night with good attention to detail. The tires are now skinnier both at the front and at the rear. They are 17 Inchers and run 100 section front and 130 section rear. Also, the tank consists of an additional panel which gives tell-tale lights.

Hardware- Bajaj Dominar 250 is back with the legendary DTSI technology, a downgrade from Dominar 400. Bajaj Dominar 250 has dual spark technology, the Dominar 400 used three spark plug technology. The console has all the major information we need except gear position indicator. Bajaj Dominar 250 has dual ABS as standard and they work perfectly. The discs are slightly smaller in size as previous Dominar 400 like 300mm from 320mm front section. The same beam type perimeter frame has been used. Bajaj Dominar 250 has a 13 Ltr fuel tank. It has a 6-speed gearbox which is slick shifting. Also, it has slipper clutch, therefore helping you downshift aggressively.

Comfort-Bajaj Dominar 250 is as comfortable as Dominar 400. There is no sort of discomfort for long rides and has zero vibrations even at high speeds. It is a mile muncher and can long on highways without any issues. There is good stability at high speeds. The only downgrade is the kerb weight of 182kg which is a bit tough to handle in traffic and cities.

Engine- Bajaj Dominar 250 has a 248.8cc engine which is a single-cylinder DOHC unit. It churns out 26.5 Bhp at 8.500n RPM at peak and 23.5 Nm Torque at 6.500 RPM at peak. The Bajaj Dominar 250 has a very refined engine and has linear power delivery with zero buzzes. In comparison to KTM the figures are less but considerable for 250cc at this price point.

Performance-The performance of Bajaj Dominar 250 is good. There is low-end torque by 250cc engine which is in fact treat on highways. The gear shifting is smooth and precise, works great with the slipper clutch. The bike can cruise comfortably at 90-100Kmph but also gives out great mileage of 30-35. The mileage can be a little bit different when you rev the throttle. 0-100 in 10.4 seconds with a top speed of 134 Kmph. The performance is hit due to weight, still at 183 kgs.

Verdict- The Bajaj Dominar 250 is a considerable buy for those who want more linear but also have a need for low-end power for the daily commute. Also, It is BS6 Compliant which is a good thing. This is good for traffic and occasional rides which will be possible by the stability and linear power delivery. Pricing is 1.60 lakhs (Ex-showroom).
